About the project
Technopolis Ruoholahti is a full-service business centre located in Ruoholahti, Helsinki. The building was contracted as a joint arrangement, where the client handled the architectural planning and Fira took care of all other engineering design. The solution was prompted by the tight schedule and the desire to find the best technical options, enabling Technopolis to focus on the business requirements for the building.
The completed building was handed over to the client at the end of May 2012 and the first tenants moved in in early June. In the beginning of the project, the desired quality level was set at LEED Silver. Thanks to a number of adjustments during planning, the energy efficiency improved remarkably, exceeding the client’s expectations and earning LEED Gold rating.
– “End users can enjoy the excellent work, for instance, in the high-quality appearance, services, architecture and interiors. The international dimension is also present in the building. It is well worth a visit,” says the client’s representative Esa Klemetti, Citron Oy.
