Speak up -channel

Our way of working

Ethical operation is the foundation of Fira’s corporate culture. We encourage to report about deficiencies and make sure no harm comes to persons submitting such reports. We believe that successful companies are based on a transparent discussion culture, in which reporting of problems is supported.

This is how to blow the whistle and report abuse

Fira’s Whistleblower system is called SpeakUp. It is a confidential reporting channel allowing our personnel and other stakeholders, such as our customers, suppliers and co-operation partners, to report any deviations or violations. The channel is intended for reporting suspected offences and abuse when the whistle blower does not feel that he or she can submit the information directly to the person responsible.

Whenever you notice an ethical concern in the operation of Fira, you can report it under your own name or anonymously by following the instructions below. Your message will be sent to two persons on Fira’s board and to the HR department. Each report will be handled humanely, properly and with respect for all involved.

Our SpeakUp channel can be used in Finnish, English, Russian, Estonian, and Polish.

This is how Fira’s SpeakUp channel works:

    1. You can use Fira’s SpeakUp by calling 08001-13031 (toll-free number in Finland only). Alternatively, you can enter in your Internet browser the address link:

    2. After this, you will be asked to enter the access code 58891. Also, choose the language of your message. We recommend writing your message down in advance. This way, you can make sure the message is comprehensive and includes all the information you want to submit.
    3. After entry of the message, you will receive a six-digit number sequence randomly generated in the system. Write this number down. Using it, you can read or listen to the company’s reply later on.
    4. To read or listen to the reply: If you submitted the report by phone, call 08001-13031. If you used the web system, go to link

    5. You will be asked to enter the access code 58891. Choose the same language setting as before. When using the SpeakUp phone system, press 1 and give the number sequence received earlier to hear the reply. When using the SpeakUp web system, you can choose the reply by clicking the “If you already have a case number” button.

 

Within seven days, you will be informed about the receipt of your message. After this, within a reasonable time, you will be informed about the progress of the matter by either the HR department or the Board member responsible for the matter.

Ensuring anonymity and confidential data processing

Fira’s SpeakUp channel is not connected to Fira’s IT systems. People in Touch, an external service provider, manages the reporting channel. Fira’s SpeakUp guarantees the anonymity of the whistle blower. Your personal details and data critical for business are safe. SpeakUp complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ensures the best possible data security.
