Fira is a young, innovative construction company. Our headquarters are in Vantaa, Finland. In 2012, our sales are estimated to be EUR 60 million.
The owners of Fira Oy have their roots in Ostrobothnia. The company was originally established in Seinäjoki in 2002. The region's tradition of high-class construction is augmented with personnel from Helsinki area. In terms of experience, this is an unbeatable combination. Fira's core business has always been parking facilities and framework construction, but the company has since been making design and build contracts as well as project management contracts. Fira has extensive specialized knowledge of production technologies for framework construction and the know-how to apply them in a range of different structures.
Times of Changes
The construction business is changing. The changes can be seen in the new kinds of contracts and ways of working, such as lifespan projects, that are fast becoming more common. Our society's ongoing systematic change also requires change in the business models of the construction businesses. That's why we are strongly focused on developing our service construction offering and implementing a new business model centered around our Fira Verstas™ workshops.
The improvement of productivity in the construction business has been very modest, because the value chains and business models of construction firms have been lacking a moving force that would standardize the needed improvements. By taking the goals of the customer's business as one of the guiding forces of a project, we will catalyze the development of productivity and exert a positive influence on the entire construction business.
